Good Manufacturing Practice

GMP certification demonstrates that products are consistently produced and controlled to the quality standards appropriate to their intended use. It is essential for manufacturers of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, medical devices and food supplements — particularly those exporting into regulated markets.

What GMP covers

• Premises, equipment design and maintenance; contamination and cross-contamination control.
• Personnel hygiene, training and defined responsibilities.
• Documented manufacturing procedures, batch records and change control.
• Quality control testing, release procedures, storage and distribution.
• Complaint handling, recall capability and self-inspection.

Who requires it

Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical manufacturers, cosmetic and personal care producers, food supplement makers, medical device manufacturers, and contract manufacturers supplying any of the above. Importers and distributors in many countries will not accept product without it.

GMP, HACCP and ISO 22000

These overlap but are not interchangeable. GMP governs how you manufacture; HACCP governs hazard control at critical points; ISO 22000 wraps HACCP in a full management system. Tell us what your buyer has asked for and we will confirm which certificate satisfies it.
