How The Global Standards collects, uses and protects the information you give us.

What we collect
When you submit a form on this website we collect the details you enter — your name, email address, telephone number, company, country, website and message — together with limited technical information: your IP address, browser type, the page you submitted from, the page you first landed on, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed.
When you use the Verify Certificate page we record the certificate number searched, the result, your IP address and the referring page. We do this to detect misuse of our certification marks.
Why we collect it
- To answer your enquiry and provide the certification services you ask about.
- To send you a quotation, certificate or verification statement you have requested.
- To maintain the integrity of our certification register.
- To understand which pages and campaigns bring genuine enquiries.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not rent, trade or share your contact details with third parties for their own marketing. We do not send bulk marketing email to people who have only asked us to verify a certificate.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies and similar technologies for analytics and advertising measurement, which may include Google Analytics, Google Ads, the Meta pixel, the LinkedIn Insight Tag and Microsoft Clarity. These services may set cookies that record how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
We also store a small amount of information in your browser’s local storage to remember whether you have already submitted a form, so that we do not show you the same invitation repeatedly.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records are retained for as long as needed to serve you and to meet our record-keeping obligations as a certification body. Certification records are retained for the life of the certificate and for a reasonable period afterwards so that certificates remain verifiable.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to retain it. Write to info@theglobalstandards.org and we will respond.
Security
Enquiry data submitted through this website is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored on access-controlled systems. Administrative access is restricted and password protected.
